Excerpt from On The Rebound

Zachary Messiah knew me; he knew my heart. I didn’t want to risk giving it to anyone else. Not when people had a history of leaving me.

My eyes started to flutter closed, but Zach pinned me with a hard look. He needed to see me, to know this was real.

He leaned down, kissing me, sliding his tongue against mine in deep erotic licks. “I want to hate you, Calli, I want to hate you so much...”

“But you can’t.” I gave him a sad smile because I couldn’t hate him either.

Something flashed in Zach’s eyes, but he didn’t reply. Instead, he loved my body, silently telling me everything I needed to know.

Zach didn’t hate me.

He hated to love me.

And the feeling was entirely mutual.

MORE ABOUT ON THE REBOUND

They say your first love leaves a mark.

For Calliope James it didn't only leave a mark, it tore out her heart and left it bleeding on the ground.

He was her best friend.
Her first kiss.
Her everything.

Until one day, he wasn't.

Zachary Messiah will never forget the girl with eyes the color of whiskey. But he's not that boy anymore.

Cold.
Cruel.
He's devoid of emotion.

Their paths were never supposed to cross again. But love doesn't always play by the rules.

Now he's the King of Steinbeck University and she's the new girl on campus ... and the pasts they have fought so hard to bury are about to collide.

Only this time, they might not survive the fallout.

“Fuck, you taste good,” he murmured, his lips and hands exploring my skin, my body, as if he couldn’t get enough of me. Which made no sense because we hated each other.
I hated him.
I hate him.
“Wait.” I broke away and he groaned, dropping his face to the crook of my shoulder. “What the hell are we doing?” My voice trembled as I tried to regain control of myself, my stupid fickle emotions.
“Cameron,” I said jabbing my fingers into his ribs when he didn’t move. “Get the hell off me.”
He stepped back, his lips curled in an annoyingly sexy smirk. “You’re not making this easy, Sunshine.” “I swear to God, if you call me that again, I’ll—” “You’ll what? Kiss me?” His smirk morphed into a smug grin.

“You’ll what? Kiss me?” His smirk morphed into a smug grin.
“I’m leaving now,” I said roughly. “Please don’t follow me.” Because I might beg you for things I shouldn’t want. I slipped out from between him and his truck and started walking away but his hand snagged my wrist. “Cameron.” His name left my lips a gentle sigh.
“Just tell me one thing,” he said.
“What?” I gave a frustrated sigh. But it wasn’t only Cameron I was frustrated with.
“Does hating me feel as good for you as it does for me?”
“Goodbye, Cameron.” My eyes dropped to where his fingers were curled around my wrist and he released me.
“Whatever you say, Sunshine.” He had to have the last words.

Locking Him Down by Marley Valentine
“Mr Stewart,” Mr Reid, our teacher calls out loudly, shutting Michelle up. “How nice of you to join us.”
The interruption is a double edged sword; effectively ending the conversation with my part time stalker, and steering my attention to the one person I try so hard not to look at.
 Micah Stewart.
My eyes try to subtly roam up and down the length of his tall, lean body. He’s dressed in his signature black, skinny leg jeans, and black leather, high top Chucks. He’s in an oversized, charcoal tee, and his long, inky coloured straight hair is gathered at the nape of his neck in a loose and messy bun. He finishes off the look with leather bands lining his wrists, and silver rings decorating every odd finger.
With his tanned skin, and long lashes that frame his deep brown eyes, his high cheek bones and dimpled chin––there’s not one single thing that makes him stand out, but when it’s all put together, he becomes the very reason my traitorous dick gets hard.
Everything about him is the complete opposite of me.
Where I’m fake and everything I do is for show, Micah wears his truth like a second skin.
He’s confident and honest, and happy. So fucking happy. All the damn time.
I’ve watched him for years. Like a thief, stealing secret glances of his smile, taking in his laugh, listening to his voice. Things that I have no business being infatuated with. Things that don’t and won’t ever belong to me.
But it seems the more I try to deny it, the more I notice him. And the more I notice him, the more I want him.
Over the years, curiosity has turned into fascination, and now I’m just a horny eighteen year old obsessing over a guy and a life I can never have.
I couldn’t tell you when or how it started but at first my interest was just that. Micah was different from me and my friends and that made me curious. But then the fascination turned into desire, and at the realisation that I was very much attracted to guys, wanting Micah Stewart turned into an all consuming obsession.

Locked Down by Shaw Hart
She’s the most beautiful woman that I’ve ever seen. I watch as the sun shines in through the kitchen windows and sparkles like a halo around her head. She looks like an angel, and me with my black hair and dark blue eyes, I look like the devil, the shadow stalking her.
It’s been like that since I first met her. As soon as I saw her in that restaurant, I knew that I had to have her. She looked up at me with those intelligent greens eyes and I was a goner. She’s owned me from that moment onward.
Too bad she doesn’t feel the same way about me.
While I was dying to know everything that I could about her, she couldn’t seem to get away from me fast enough. Luckily for me, her father had seen that I was interested in her and had offered me her hand in marriage. I had felt a little dirty going behind her back like that but then I had looked up and seen the way some of the other guys at the restaurant were staring at her. I couldn’t let some other guy step in and steal her before I could get her to fall in love with me.
I had tried to rationalize that she would fall for me eventually. I would treat her better than any of those other guys and give her the life that she wanted. That was the plan anyway.

Excerpt from The Game You Play
Standalone Book 2 of 4 in the Rixon Raiders series

Felicity’s breath hitched, pain flashing in her eyes. “Fuck you,” she seethed.
“Baby,” I reached out, pulling a strand of hair. “We already did that.”
“I hate you.” Her voice trembled.
Good. She needed to hate me. I didn’t need her getting the wrong idea about us.
About me.
For as much as I hated to admit it, Hailee was right. I needed to stay away from Felicity. She was too naïve, too fucking pure. Until New York, until me, she’d been a virgin for fuck’s sake.
I stepped forward again, putting us almost chest to chest. I hadn’t planned on getting this close, but there was no denying she pulled me in. Almost made me want to finish what we started in New York. My eyes dropped to her lips; soft pouty lips I knew the taste of. Her tongue darted out as she watched me watching her.
“Jason, what are—”
“Shut the fuck up,” I ground out. Her chest was heaving, matching the way she kept sucking in tiny harsh breaths. She reminded me of a doe. Innocent and vulnerable. Waiting to be picked off by the big bad wolf.
Before I knew it, I’d slid my hand to her neck, stroking my thumb along her damp skin. She was sweating. I made her sweat. It was heady, knowing the way I affected her. Knowing that if I dipped my fingers into her panties I’d probably find her wet for me. Even though she hated me, even though she didn’t want this, her body did. Something we apparently had in common.
Her body shuddered, heat radiating off her.
Perhaps Felicity Giles wasn’t such a good girl after all.

SNEAK PEEK

Picture
“Oh my God.” Bile rushed up my throat, burning my insides, as I raked my sleepy gaze over Maverick. “What did you do?”
His head turned slowly, and he smirked despite the split in his lip, which was still dripping blood. “You should see the other guy.”
“Maverick,” his name fell from my lips like a curse. He hadn't talked to me since the kiss—the one we’d both pretended never happened. There had been nothing except for the odd heated stare or elusive text message. I thought we were done, yet here he was standing bloody and beaten in the pool house. His eyes darted to the boxes Dad left, and he swallowed hard. “When do you leave?”
I shrugged, unable to tear my eyes from the devastation that literally was his face. “Dad thinks it'll be the end of next week.”
The muscle in his jaw ticked again.
“You should let me look at that.” I motioned to his face, expecting him to refuse my offer. Instead, Maverick perched on one of the stools and dropped his head in a nod. Maybe he was just too exhausted to argue.
I didn't dwell on which as I hurried to the bathroom and retrieved the small first aid kit I knew was in the cabinet. When I returned, I ground to a halt. Seeing his face, his shredded knuckles, hurt me far more than it should have. But I'd come to accept that where Maverick was concerned, I didn't have a choice.
I never had.
Not since that very first night. I couldn't just switch off my irrational feelings for him. Something happened that night, something that imprinted him on my soul.
My heart.
Or maybe I was just a foolish girl that thought—hoped—she could tame the bad boy. After all, wasn't it most young girl’s fantasy to be to the one who could?
Maverick sensed me watching him and his hooded gaze slid down my body, as I stood there in nothing but Elliot's oversized Oxford University t-shirt, clutching the small bag as if it was a life raft.
And Maverick was the storm threatening to wreck me.
“Got any pain meds in there?”
Nodding, I retrieved some tablets and ran him a glass of water. Our fingers brushed as he took it from me, sparks of electricity dancing across my skin. Maverick's eyes widened with surprise, focused on where our hands joined, then slowly he lifted his face to mine.
God, I couldn't breathe.
When he looked at me like that I wanted to melt into a puddle on the floor.
I did melt.
I wanted him to touch me, taste me, anything to make the deep ache between my legs stop. The longing.
“Thank you,” he whispered.
I blinked and, with a tiny shake of my head, sifted through the kit to find some wipes. “This will probably sting.”
“I've felt worse.”
Rounding the breakfast bar, I placed a hand on his shoulder to steady myself. His face was a patchwork of grazes and cuts, but I started with the worse wounds, the ones trickling blood down his bronzed skin like a stream of fat crimson tears.
“Fuck,” he hissed a breath as the wipe smoothed over his cheekbone.
“Sorry.” I moved slower, barely touching the angry raised cut. “Why, Maverick? Why do you do this to yourself?”
“Don't,” he said. There was no warning in his tone. No bitterness. He almost sounded defeated.
Broken.
And it only made my need to fix him—to help him—stronger.
