I'm not supposed to get ideas about Mal and I being together.
About this being more than sex.
But my head is flush with thoughts of the future. Of more. Of all of him.
His gaze shifts from my eyes to my lips to my chest. "Where has that dress been?"
"Waiting for a nice occasion." I push past the flush in my cheeks. "I don't think I've ever worn it."
"Why'd you buy it?" His eyes lock with mine. "Not that I'm complaining."
"Every so often, I get these ideas of some fantasy life I could lead. Maybe it's the filmmaker dreamer thing. This one… well, it came with these heels and black lace lingerie."
He raises a brow like he's considering demanding a look at said lingerie.
"I thought, maybe, this would make Adam want me." I pressed my lips together. Already, I can feel the sting of rejection in my fingertips. I can taste its bitterness on my tongue. "It didn't."
"That's on him."
I swallow hard. "Maybe."
Mal's voice drops an octave. "Lacey, tell me what I have to do to convince you he was an idiot and I'll do it."
"I don't know."
"You were right to leave."
My breath catches in my throat. This is not the conversation I want to have right now. Already, my skin is crawling. "I don't know—"
"I do." He shifts out of his side of the booth and slides next to me. His knee presses against mine. His fingertips skim the hem of my dress.
Thoughts slip away at an alarming rate.
I can't think with Mal this close.
God, he smells good.
He leans down to bring his lips to my ear. "You have any idea how much you drive me out of my mind?"
"No," I breathe. I'm not sure I have any ideas right now. I'm not sure I'll ever have another idea with the way my thoughts are screaming Need. Mal. Now.
He wants me.
Even though it's clear as day, it feels impossible.
"I was hard the entire drive to your place." He pushes my dress up a few inches. His fingertips skim my inner thigh. "Thinking about sliding my hand between your legs." He drags his fingertips higher. "Thinking about driving my fingers into your slick cunt."
I shudder from his touch.
"Thinking about bending you over my knee and rolling your dress to your waist…" He presses his lips to my neck with a soft kiss. Then a hard one.
His fingers mover higher, higher, almost. Fuck.
"Mal," I breathe.
"You want me to spank you, baby?"
"I… yes, I think so."
"To tie you up?"
I nod.
He drags his lips over the edge of my jaw as he pulls back. His blue eyes fix on me. He studies my expression like it's poetry. "You liked the mix of pain and pleasure."
My cheeks flush. My sex clenches.
Mal's pupils dilate. I'm reacting to him. He's reacting to me. It's fucking poetry.
He rubs me over my panties. His expression screams I bet you wish you followed orders right now.
"I love how earnest you are about this." His voice is a low growl. "It drives me out of my mind."
"Really?"
"Joel always says I like ingenues."
"Do you?"
"I like you." He drags his lips over my neck. "You're the sexiest woman in the entire universe. You should feel it."
I swallow hard.
"I'm going to make you feel like you deserve every drop of my desire." He strokes me over my panties. "I want to make you feel so much pleasure you can't take it, Lacey."
God, that impossibly soft touch, the heat of his breath, the low, demanding voice… It's official. Mal's a sex god. My fantasies were right.

MORE ABOUT DANGEROUS FLING

Lacey
Malcolm Strong is the perfect rock star wet dream.
Broad shoulders, inked arms, those piercing blue eyes….
His words are poetry.
His voice is s*x.
He could have any woman he wants.
And he wants me.
No feelings.
No strings attached.
I’m game.
But my heart won’t get in line.

Mal
Lacey is as sweet as she is sassy.
Her innocent brown eyes call all my attention.
She’s supposed to be working on our music video.
Which means I’m not supposed to be picturing her naked.
Spread eagle.
Screaming my name loud enough to wake the neighbors.
I only have one rule: this is staying physical.
But there’s something about Lacey...
I want her heart as much as I want her body.

"My dad… he would think you're trouble. A bad boy phase. A quarter-life crisis."
"Who says I'm not trouble?"
She laughs. "You have tattoos, sure. But you… You're a sweet guy. Deep down."
"How do you know?"
"I remember that. I can't remember a lot of what happened last night, but I still feel this connection. It's stupid."
"It's not."
She presses her lips together. "Joel, um… don't take this the wrong way, but why did you sleep with me?"
"You fishing for more compliments about your tits? I'm happy to oblige if you are, but I demand another look at them first."
Her blush deepens. "No, I mean… we were drinking a lot."
"I tried to turn you down."
She shoots me that same incredulous look.
"You got very demanding."
"No way."
"I'll show you."
"Okay."
"But you have to play me."
She raises a brow. "Do I?"
I nod. My hands go to her hips. I keep the grip loose. "Lie back on the bench seat."
"That's what you were doing, lying down?"
I nod.
She turns enough to lean back on her elbows. She giggles as she falls onto her back. "Why do I feel like I'm being seduced?"
"You're playing Joel. Remind me I'm drunk three times before you give me the time of day."
"Did I really-"
"Yes." It was adorable. And hot. Once Bella is lying back on the bench seat, I drag my fingers up her blouse. I play with her bottom button. "Joel, baby, let's go to bed."
"Did I really call you baby?"
I nod. "Now, stop breaking character."
She drops her voice an octave. "Bella, you're drunk."
I shake my head as I straddle her. Fuck, this is not my wisest move. I'm already getting all sorts of ideas about stripping her out of her clothes and fucking her. But I'm staying in character. "I'm not." I undo her bottom button then I trail my fingers over the soft skin of her stomach. Over the waistband of her jeans. "I want you to fuck me, baby. I want you to make me come like you did at the club. I've never come like that before. I mean came. That's the past tense of come, right?"
Her cheeks flush. She clears her throat, trying to stay in character. "You're too drunk. Later."
"If I was drunk, would I really be able to conjugate the verb to come?" I shake my head. "I'm only a little tipsy." I pull my t-shirt over my head then I take her hand and press it against my pec. "It's okay if you don't want to. Just say that."
"I, um, we should wait until tomorrow."
"If you're sure." I drag her hand over my chest and press her palm flat against my breastbone. "But I don't want to wait. I want to fuck you know. I want you to come right here."
"Oh my God." Her eyes go wide. "I did not say that."
"You did."
"Really?"
"You were a bossy little thing." I smile at the memory. "Not that I minded."
"No… I… No." She shakes her head. "I've never made any demands."
"You did last night."
"Was that it?"
"Fuck no." I play with her top button as I shift back into character. "Take that off now, baby. Take everything off. I want to look at every inch you." I grind my hips against hers. "I want to feel that hard cock in my mouth."
"No. I didn't-" Her eyes meet mine. Her cheeks turn the color of a tomato. "I did, didn't I?"
"I could go on."
"No. This is embarrassing enough."
"Nothing embarrassing about asking for you want."
Still, her cheeks flush. "I was so shy with Stan, my ex-boyfriend. Once he asked me to talk dirty and I froze. I couldn't do it."
"Apparently, you learned."
"Really?"
I nod.
She gives me a long, slow once-over. "I guess you bring out my bad girl."

MORE About Dangerous Rock

I’m married to a rock star.
And I don’t even know his last name.

Bella
There’s a tall, tattooed man in my bed.
Not any tall, tattooed man.
He’s a rock star.
A sex god.
And now he’s my husband.
Last night, I married Joel.
It’s ridiculous. I’m a good girl. I don’t get into trouble. I don’t look twice at bad boys. I can’t stay married to a rock star.
But there’s something about Joel. Not just the way his green eyes light up when he smiles, or the way he makes me laugh, or the way he makes me shake with pleasure–
I’m not sure I can walk away.

Joel
Bella Chase is a challenge.
With the tight bun and the cute cardigan, she’s as prim and proper as they come.
My only plan for the night is getting her under me, screaming my name.
Filling her with so much pleasure she begs me to stop.
I didn’t plan on marrying her.
But now that she’s my wife, I’m not about to let her go.
